CHANGE TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS                                                    
In compliance with Rule 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities 
Exchange South Africa, Assore announces that, with effect from Wednesday, 30    
June 2004, Mr R A Chute has resigned from the board of directors of Assore.     
Mr Paul Boynton has been appointed as a non-executive director of Assore with   
effect from Thursday, 1 July 2004. Mr Boynton is an executive  director at Old  
Mutual Asset Managers and joint head of its Alternative Assets Division.
