RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR                                                         
Nampak wishes to advise that Rex Tomlinson, the executive director responsible  
for Paper Merchants, Tissue, Leadership and Strategic Initiatives has resigned  
from the board of Nampak Limited and will leave the employ of the group by the  
end of September 2004.                                                          
Nampak will work closely with Rex to ensure a smooth handover of his            
responsibilities.                                                               
The board thanks Rex for his valuable contribution to Nampak and wishes him well
in his future endeavours.
