APPOINTMENT OF NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER                                      
Assore announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Chris Cory as  
Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 June 2004. The appointment results in
splitting the role of Chairman and CEO, which aligns the group with regulatory  
and corporate governance best practice and Desmond Sacco remains as Group       
Chairman. Chris started with the group in 1989 and was made Group Financial     
Director in 1994.
