APPOINTMENT OF SIFISO DABENGWA TO THE POSITION OF GROUP CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER 
("COO") IN THE MTN GROUP                                                        
MTN Group is pleased to advise that Sifiso Dabengwa, currently Managing Director
for the Company"s South African operations has been appointed Chief Operating   
Officer ("COO") for MTN Group with effect from 1st April 2004. Mr. Dabengwa will
fulfill a dual function and will continue in his role as Managing Director of   
MTN SA.                                                                         
Mr. Dabengwa has a proven track record of strong leadership in the management of
the Company"s South African operations and a demonstrable depth of experience   
and knowledge of mobile operations.  As COO of the MTN Group, Mr. Dabengwa will 
leverage his knowledge to further enhance the operational efficiency level as   
defined by cost and revenue metrics to drive profitability in a number of areas 
for the MTN Group.
