Lonmin Plc ranked 47th in the Business in the Community Corporate Responsibility
Index out of 500 companies                                                      
Lonmin Plc has been ranked 47th in the Business in the Community, Corporate     
Responsibility Index.   More than 500 companies were invited to participate in  
this Index and the Top 100 featured in a special supplement of The Sunday Times 
on 14 March 2004: "Companies that Count".                                       
Edward Haslam, Chief Executive of Lonmin Plc, said:                             
"We are delighted to have been ranked so highly in the Index.  This reflects the
growth of our commitments and objectives with respect to corporate citizenship. 
This year we focused on developing the Lonmin Charter which outlines our
