Cautionary announcement                                                         
Shareholders are advised that Astral Foods and Afgri Limited ("Afgri"), 50%     
joint venture partners in Earlybird Farm (Pty) Limited ("Earlybird"), have      
entered into negotiations to acquire Afgri"s 50% equity interest in Earlybird   
("the proposed transaction"). The proposed transaction may have a material      
effect on the price of Astral Foods securities and Astral Foods shareholders are
advised to exercise caution when dealing in the Astral Foods securities until a 
full announcement is made.
