CHANGE TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS                                                    
Mr. John Blackbeard, currently Chief Operating Officer of Pretoria Portland     
Cement ("PPC" or "the company"), a subsidiary company of Barloworld Limited,    
will be leaving the company later this year to take up the position of Chief    
Executive Officer of Barloworld Scientific Group Limited.                       
The Chief Executive Officer of PPC, Mr John Gomersall, will release details of  
new appointments at PPC, which will follow the abovementioned change in due     
course.
