Dr Sam Jonah KBE, a Director of Lonmin Plc, has today notified the Company that 
on 5 February 2004 he exercised a share option granted to him on 4 August 1994  
under the rules of the Lonmin Executive Share Option Scheme, over 31,324        
ordinary shares of $1 in the capital of the Company at a subscription price of  
434.1664p per share and on the same day he sold all of these shares at a price  
of 1074.8908p per share.                                                        
He retains a holding of 31,696 ordinary shares of $1 each in Lonmin Plc.
