FINAL DIVIDEND                                                                  
On 11 December 2003, it was announced that the Board of Lonmin Plc had          
recommended a final dividend for the year ended 30 September 2003 of 42 US cents
per share. Payment of the dividend remained subject to the approval of          
shareholders at the AGM, which AGM was held today, 5 February 2004 where the    
required approval was obtained. It is accordingly confirmed that 42 US cents per
share will be paid on 16 February 2004. The dividend of 278.41 ZA cents will be 
paid to shareholders on the SA branch register, calculated at the Rand to US$   
exchange rate (of Rand 6.6288/ US$ 1) on Friday 9 January 2004
