Trans Hex Group Limited - Resignation Of CEO Trans Hex Group Limited ("Trans Hex" or "the Group") Share code JSE: TSX and NSX:THX ISIN Code: ZAE000018552 TRANS HEX ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION OF CEO Shareholders are advised that Calvyn Gardner has resigned as CEO of Trans Hex with effect from 1 January 2004 to pursue a career as an independent consultant to the diamond industry, based in Angola. Mr Gardner will continue to advise the Group on the development of its Angolan operations. Altie Krige, Executive Director Land Operations, will continue to have full responsibility for managing the Group"s land and marine operations and exploration activities. A nominations committee comprising non-executive deputy chairman Bernard van Rooyen and non-executive directors Emil Buhrmann and Alwyn Martin have been appointed to nominate a successor to Mr Gardner. Messrs Van Rooyen, Buhrmann and Martin have also joined the Group"s executive committee until a new CEO has been appointed. The Group remains committed to increasing production levels from existing operations and adding to reserves through exploration activities, acquisitions and strategic alliances. Trans Hex Deputy Chairman, Bernard van Rooyen commented: "We will continue to develop our operations for the benefit of all our stakeholders. Our vision remains to be a world-class player in the exploration and mining of high-quality diamonds.
