Oceana, on 15 December 2003, posted to its shareholders its audited annual      
financial statements for the financial year ended 30 September 2003.  The       
Company is not publishing an abridged report at this date because the reviewed  
financial information published on 06 November 2003 is unchanged, save in       
respect of cost of sales for the previous year ended 30 September 2002, which is
shown as R1 886 621 000 (previously R1 985 983 000).  This restatement is due to
a reclassification of certain costs between cost of sales and selling and       
distribution expenditure and has no other effect on the financial statements    
including operating profit and headline earnings.                               
Notice is hereby given that the annual general meeting of Oceana shareholders   
will be held at 16th Floor, Metropolitan Centre, 7 Coen Steytler Avenue, on     
Thursday 05 February 2004 at 14:00 to transact business as stated in the notice 
of the annual general meeting circulated together with the annual financial     
statements.
