authorised to announce that between November 21  2003 and November 24  2003, BB 
Investment Company (Proprietary) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The      
Bidvest Group Limited acquired 2 174 159 McCarthy ordinary shares at a price of 
32 cents per McCarthy ordinary share.
