Mr I P Farmer, Mr P J Ledger and Mr J N Robinson, Executive Directors of Lonmin 
Plc, were each granted an option on 30 September 2003 at an exercise price of   
942p over 27,000, 23,000 and 27,000 ordinary shares of $1 each respectively     
under The Lonmin Executive Share Option Scheme.  The options are exercisable    
from 30.9.2006 to 30.9.2013 subject to fulfilment of a performance condition.   
Lonmin has also today received a notification from Mr Robinson that he was      
notified on 30 September 2003 by his Personal Equity Plan administrators that he
had become interested in a further 30 Ordinary shares of $1 each fully paid in  
Lonmin Plc. The shares were acquired on 30 September 2003 at a price of         
939.0000p per share by way of dividend reinvestment.
