FTSE / JSE Africa Index Series - Index Change Advice - Telkom Second Notification Telkom (South Africa) : Global Share Offering FTSE/JSE Africa Index Series 6 March 2003 In order to provide forward notification to the market FTSE and the JSE announces the following changes: Following the Global Offering of Shares by the Government of the Republic of South Africa, subject to unconditional trading commencing on Friday 7 March 2003 Telkom will be added as a fast-track entrant to the FTSE/JSE Africa Index Series as detailed below. Telkom will be added after the close of business on Friday 7 March 2003, i.e. from the start of trading Monday 10 March 2003, as detailed below: INDEX CHANGE EFFECTIVE FROM START OF TRADING FTSE/JSE Africa Top 40 Telkom (South Africa, ZAE000044897, 6588577) will be added to the index with a shares in issue figure of 557,031,819 and an investibility weight of 30%. Dimension Data (South Africa, GB0008435405, 6264639) will be removed from the index. 10 March 2003 FTSE/JSE Africa Mid Cap Dimension Data (South Africa, GB0008435405, 6264639) will be added to the index with an unchanged shares in issue figure of 1,341,877,238 and unchanged investibility weight of 100%. Datatec (South Africa, ZAE000017745, 6149479) will be removed from the index. 10 March 2003 FTSE/JSE Africa Small Cap Datatec (South Africa, ZAE000017745, 6149479) will be added to the index with an unchanged shares in issue figure of 137,355,073 and unchanged investibility weight of 100%. 10 March 2003 FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Telkom will be treated as detailed above. 10 March 2003 FTSE/JSE Africa Industrial 25 Telkom will be treated as detailed above.
