NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 24 February 2003 the Directors of AECI Limited   
declared a final ordinary dividend of 72 cents per share for the financial year 
ended 31 December 2002, payable on Tuesday, 22 April 2003 to ordinary           
shareholders recorded in the books of the Company at the close of business on   
Thursday, 17 April 2003.                                                        
The last day to trade cum dividend will be Thursday, 10 April 2003 and shares   
will commence trading ex dividend as from Friday, 11 April 2003.                
Any change of address or dividend instruction must be received before Thursday, 
10 April 2003.                                                                  
Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised from Friday, 11  
April 2003 to Thursday, 17 April 2003, both days inclusive.                     
This announcement will be mailed to all recorded shareholders on or about 25    
February 2003.
