Further to the announcement to shareholders published on 29 November 2002 in    
which shareholders were informed that the exchange rate to be used to determine 
the Rand equivalent of the final dividend for the year ended 30 September 2002  
payable on 17 February 2003 would be calculated on 10 January 2003, shareholders
are hereby advised that the exchange rate to be used will be US$ 1 = R8.52365.  
This has been calculated as the average of the bid/ask spread as at 14h00 (South
African time) on 10 January 2003.                                               
Consequently, the Rand value of the cash entitlement of 42 US cents per share   
will be R3.579933 per share.
