Judy Dlamini has been appointed non-executive director of Discovery, effective  
on 5 December 2002.                                                             
Ms Dlamini is a senior manager at HSBC Investment Services (Africa) for the     
Transport and Energy team in Corporate Finance and Advisory. Previous experience
includes working as an occupational health consultant for Spoornet and as a     
general practitioner in the Durban area. She established a retail and wholesale 
bakery during this period, increasing production from 240 loaves a day to 2 400 
in six months. In 1996 Ms Dlamini founded Mbekani Health and Wellbeing, which   
won the management contract for non-core services at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli  
Central Hospital with three other BEE companies.                                
Her qualifications include a MBChB (Univ of Natal), a diploma in Occupational   
Health (UOFS), a MBA (Univ of Witwatersrand) and a Proficiency and Intermediate 
certificate in Business Studies (IISA).                                         
Adrian Gore, CEO of Discovery said, "I believe that the business and community  
experience that Dlamini brings to Discovery will add huge value to the Discovery
board."
