Final announcement, withdrawal of cautionary and transfer of listing            
1. Introduction                                                                 
River Sponsors (Proprietary) Limited  is authorised to announce that all the    
conditions precedent regarding the disposal of Petrex (Proprietary) Limited     
("Petrex") as approved by the shareholders of Petmin at the shareholders`       
meeting held on 27 September 2002 have been met and the consideration has been  
settled in full.                                                                
2. Withdrawal of cautionary                                                     
As the disposal of Petrex has now been concluded, Petmin hereby withdraws its   
cautionary notice to shareholders.                                              
3. Transfer of listing                                                          
The JSE Securities Exchange South Africa ("JSE") has approved the transfer of   
the listing to the "Industrial Sector - Speciality and Other Finance" sub sector
"Other Financial" board of the JSE list as from Thursday, 31 October 2002.
