Lonmin Plc has today received a notification in fulfilment of an obligation     
imposed by Section 324 of the Companies Act 1985 that Mr J N Robinson, a        
Director of the Company, was notified by his Personal Equity Plan (PEP)         
administrators on 21 September 2002 that :-                                     
1)   On 2 April 2002 they purchased 35 ordinary shares of US$1 each of Lonmin   
Plc at a price of 1217.5p per share; and                                        
2)   On 1 July 2002 they purchased 1 ordinary share of US$1 each of Lonmin Plc  
at a price of 1135.77p per share.
