DECLARATION OF CUMULATIVE PREFERENCE DIVIDENDS                                  
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the following cumulative preference dividends       
have been declared:                                                             
6,5% CUMULATIVE PREFERENCE SHARES - DIVIDEND NO. 67                             
A dividend at the rate of 6,5% per annum in respect of the six months ending    
31 July 2002 (equivalent to 6,5 cents per share per annum) (2001 : 6,5 cents    
per share per annum) payable to shareholders recorded as such in the            
register of the Company at the close of business on the record date, Friday     
26 July 2002.  The last day to trade to participate in the dividend is          
Friday 19 July 2002.                                                            
6% CUMULATIVE PREFERENCE SHARES - DIVIDEND NO. 67                               
A dividend at the rate of 6% per annum in respect of the six months ending      
31 July 2002 (equivalent to 6,0 cents per share per annum) (2001 : 6,0 cents    
per share per annum) payable to shareholders recorded in the books of the       
Company at the close of business on the record date, Friday 26 July 2002.       
The last day to trade to participate in the dividend is Friday 19 July 2002.    
The salient dates for the dividends are as follows :

Preference shares trade "EX" dividend              Monday 22 July 2002
