FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT                                                 
Further to the cautionary announcements dated 20 March 2002 and 6 May 2002,     
shareholders are advised that the acquisition by Nampak of Crown Cork`s         
packaging interests in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria and           
Ethiopia is still subject to the fulfilment of certain suspensive conditions    
relating to, inter alia, approval of the S A Reserve Bank and other             
regulatory bodies in certain of the countries mentioned above.                  
Since the transaction could have an effect on Nampak`s share price,             
shareholders are advised to continue to exercise caution when dealing in        
their shares until a further announcement is made.
