Morgan and Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank to lead manage an inaugural Tier III bank capital bond issue. The terms of the issue and its timing will be announced in due course. The Tier III capital will enhance SBSA`s existing capital base and will be incorporated in the capital allocated against SBSA`s trading book. The South African Reserve Bank has approved the issue of the Tier III capital bond. Application has been made to list the bond on the Bond Exchange of South Africa.
