NAMPAK LIMITED - INCREASE IN ISSUED SHARE CAPITAL ARISING FROM THE EXERCISE     
OF SHARE OPTIONS IN TERMS OF THE NAMPAK 1985 SHARE OPTION SCHEME                
In terms of Rule 3.29 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities        
Exchange South Africa ("JSE"), notification is hereby given that Nampak         
Limited has issued 67 500 ordinary shares of 5 cents each in terms of the       
Nampak 1985 Share Option Scheme.                                                
Accordingly, application has been made to the JSE for these shares to be        
admitted to the Official List and for these shares to be admitted to trading    
with effect from 31 May 2002.                                                   
The shares rank pari passu with the existing issued ordinary shares of          
Nampak Limited.  After the allotment of the above shares, the issued            
ordinary share capital of Nampak Limited is 509 507 900 shares of 5 cents       
each.
