LIEBHERR AGREEMENT                                                              
Bell, the Richards Bay-based equipment company, has concluded an agreement      
with Liebherr Germany, one of Europe`s largest construction machinery           
manufacturers.  In terms of this agreement, Liebherr will take on the sale      
and distribution of the successful range of Bell Articulated Dump Trucks        
from their six branch outlets and one rental company in Germany as well as a    
further six branches in Austria.                                                
This arrangement represents a significant increase in the existing Bell         
network in Europe and will position the company to increase its market          
penetration in that region.                                                     
Liebherr Group has over 20 000 employees and its revenue for the year 2001      
was just on SF 10 Billion. Its rental company is a significant operation        
throughout Europe with a fleet of rental machinery worth approximately R1       
Billion.                                                                        
The agreement whereby Liebherr will be able to market Bell Articulated Dump     
Trucks adds to its own extensive range of construction cranes, hydraulic        
excavators, diesel electric mine trucks with capacities between 180 to 330      
cubic meters, as well as an extensive range of plant and truck mixers for       
the economic production and transportation of high grade concrete. They also    
manufacture a range of mobile cranes as well as deck cranes for handling        
containers at shipping ports.                                                   
The agreement with Liebherr, added to the existing strategic alliance with      
John Deere in North America gives Bell Equipment a strong market coverage in    
the northern hemisphere and further strengthens its position as a global        
competitor.
