FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT

Further to the cautionary announcement dated 8 February 2002, shareholders
are advised that the acquisition of the remaining 15% shareholding in Crown
Nampak (Pty) Limited from Crown Cork and Seal Inc.("Crown Cork"),has been
successfully completed.

Shareholders are also advised that discussions are continuing with Crown
Cork for Nampak to acquire Crown Cork's packaging interests in Zimbabwe,
Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria and Ethiopia.

Since the latter transaction could have an effect on Nampak's share price,
shareholders are advised to continue to exercise caution when dealing in
their shares until a further announcement is made.
