Lonmin Plc - Director Shareholding

Lonmin  Plc has today received a notification in fulfilment of an obligation
imposed  by  Section 324 of the Companies Act 1985, that Mr J N Robinson,  a
Director of the Company, was notified on:-

1) 6 March 2002 by his Personal Equity Plan (PEP) administrators that on
   1 October 2001 they purchased for his PEP 29 ordinary shares of GBP1 each
   of Lonmin Plc at a price of 847p per share;

2) 12 March 2002 by his PEP administrators that following the Capital
   Reduction and Redenomination of Lonmin Plc, his PEP ceased to be

   interested in 1,559 ordinary shares of GBP1 each and became interested in
   1,309 ordinary shares of US$1 each; and

3) 12 March 2002 by his PEP administrators that on 8 March 2002 they

   purchased 194 ordinary shares of US$1 each of Lonmin Plc at a price of
   GBP11.953026 per share and accordingly the total number of shares held by
   his PEP became 1,503 ordinary shares of US$1 each.
