DECLARATION OF CUMULATIVE PREFERENCE DIVIDENDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the following cumulative preference dividends
have been declared :
6.5% Cumulative Preference Dividend No. 66

A dividend at the rate of 6.5 per cent per annum in respect of the six
months ending 31 January 2002 (equivalent to 6.5 cents per share per annum,
2001: 6.5 cents) payable on 4 February 2002 to preference shareholders
registered in the books of the company.
6% Cumulative Preference Dividend No. 66

A dividend at the rate of 6 per cent per annum in respect of the six months
ending 31 January 2002 (equivalent to 6.0 cents per share per annum, 2001:
6.0 cents) payable on 4 February 2002 to preference shareholders registered
in the books of the company.

The salient dates for the dividends are as follows :
