FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT

Further to the cautionary announcements published to date, shareholders  are
advised  that  the proposed acquisition by PPC of 100% of the  issued  share
capital  of  Porthold  ("the  acquisition")  is  still  subject  to  certain
conditions  precedent.  These include, inter alia, the formal  approvals  of
various  Zimbabwe regulatory authorities.  In the event that such  approvals
are  received, an announcement setting out the full terms and conditions  of
the  acquisition,  incorporating  the financial  effects  thereof,  will  be
published  in  the  press.  Accordingly, PPC and Porthold  shareholders  are
advised to continue to exercise caution when dealing in their shares until a
further announcement is made.
