The turnover of the group is 14.6% below the previous year as a result of the sale of two properties last year. Accordingly the net income from properties is down. The larger drop in interest paid is as a result of lower rates of interest for the current year together with a lower level of borrowings for the full financial year.
Despite difficult trading conditions and a large increase in the provision for doubtful debts the combined income per unit is 2.62% above that of 2000. Cautionary announcement

Growthpoint is scheduled to move to the STRATE system during June. Shareholders have already received a letter from the company informing them as to the procedures to be followed in this regard. Declaration of dividend and interest payment
Notice is hereby given of dividend declaration number 27 of 0.0096 cents per share and debenture interest payment number 27 of 9.5904 cents per unit of 10 debenture for the income distribution period 1 October 2000 to 31 March 2001. The distribution amounts to 9.600 cents per unit payable to unitholders registered in the books of the company at the close of business on Friday 11 May 2001.
