Lonmin Plc has today received a notification in fulfilment of an obligation
imposed by Section 324 of the Companies Act 1985 that Mr J N Robinson, a
Director of the Company, was notified on 5 March 2001 (i) that, pursuant to his
wife's participation in the Dividend Reinvestment Plan of Lonmin Plc, on 19
February 2001 a cash dividend to which she was entitled was invested on her
behalf in, and accordingly Mr Robinson has become interested in, 139 Ordinary
Shares of GBP1 each fully paid in Lonmin Plc at a price of GBP10.87p per share
and (ii) that on 22 February 2001 his wife's personal equity plan acquired, and
accordingly Mr Robinson has become interested in, 26 Ordinary Shares of GBP1
each fully paid in Lonmin Plc at a price of GBP10.20 per share
