RESIGNATION OF ABIL`S COMPANY SECRETARY                                         
Shareholders are advised that Craig Brighten has resigned as Company Secretary  
of ABIL and African Bank Limited with effect from Friday, 29th May 2009.        
The board of directors thanks Craig for his contribution and wishes him well in 
his future career.                                                              
Anton Voogt, the current group risk officer, will in addition assume the role of
Company Secretary until the vacancy is filled.
