APPOINTMENT OF DEBT OFFICER

In line with the amendments to the JSE Debt Listings Requirements issued in the Government Gazette
through Board Notice 89 of 2020 No. 43571, effective from 30 September 2020, DBSA is advising
holders of its debt securities that DBSA has appointed Mr. Ernest Dietrich to serve as the Bank’s Debt
Officer with immediate effect.

Mr Dietrich is a member of the Bank’s Executive Committee as Group Executive for Treasury & Balance
Sheet Management. He holds the CFA Charter, an MBA from the University of Cape Town, and an
M.Sc in Mathematics from the University of the Western Cape. Previous positions held at DBSA
include, Group Executive of the DBSA’s SA Financing Division, General Manager in the Office of the
CEO, and Group Treasurer. Positions prior to joining DBSA include amongst others, that of Market
Risk Manager at Transnet Group Treasury, and Risk Manager at TCTA.

The board of DBSA has considered and is satisfied with the competence, qualifications and experience
of the Debt Officer.
