SENS ANNOUNCEMENT

SUSPENSION OF ELECTRONIC TRADING PLATFORM OBLIGATIONS

A system error on the MTS Electronic Trading Platform (ETP) has caused pricing
discrepancies which resulted in incorrect settlement value calculations on a number of
bonds. The JSE and MTS are still investigating the exact cause and extent of the
problem. Therefore the National Treasury has deemed it fit to suspend all ETP
obligations for Primary Dealers as from today (12 September 2019), until there is a
solution to the issue. National Treasury will communicate the date of resumption of the
ETP obligations.
