City of Tshwane Annual Financial Statements for the Year Ended 30 June 2024
Noteholders are advised that the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality has on 31 August 2024
submitted its unaudited annual financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2024 (AFS) to the
Auditor General South Africa. The AFS comprise of the consolidated and separate statement of financial
position as at 30 June 2024, the consolidated and separate statement of financial performance,
statement of changes in net assets, cash flow statement and the statement of comparison of budget
and actual amounts for the year that ended on 30 June 2024, as well as the notes, compromising a
summary of significant accounting policies and other explanatory information.
The submitted AFS were prepared in accordance with the South African Standards of Generally
Recognized Accounting Practice (SA standards of GRAP), the requirements of the Municipal Finance
Management Act of South Africa, 2003 (Act No. 56 of 2003) (MFMA) being Section 126 1(a) and (b),
the Division of Revenue Act of South Africa, 2015 (Act No.1 of 2005) (DoRA), and for such internal
control measures as the Accounting Officer determines is necessary to enable the presentation of the
consolidated and separate financial statements that re free from material misstatement, whether due to
fraud or error.
Noteholders will be advised as soon as the audited consolidated annual financial statements are
available.
