NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING
MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS


Notifications made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure Rules
and Transparency Rules.

1.   The Company was notified on 7 April 2016 by the trustee of the British American
     Tobacco Employee Share Ownership Plan that on 6 April 2016 the following Executive
     Directors and other persons discharging managerial responsibilities (together the
     “Participants”) had purchased ordinary shares of 25p each in British American
     Tobacco p.l.c. (the “Shares”) by way of the Partnership Share Scheme at a price of
     4,104.50 pence per Share.
     The number of Shares purchased by each Participant are as follows:

2.   The Company was notified on 7 April 2016 by the trustee of the British American
     Tobacco International Employee Share Ownership Plan (the “Plan”) (the “Trustee”)
     that on 4 April 2016 awards of Shares made under the 2013 International Share
     Reward Scheme (“ISRS”) had vested and, in accordance with the rules of the Plan, the
     Trustee had transferred accrued dividend shares to the person discharging managerial
     responsibilities as follows:
