Fractionalisation of participatory units in the Cloud Atlas S&P African
Sovereign Bond ETF
Further to the announcement released on the 24 June 2021 where investors
were informed of the Cloud Atlas S&P African Sovereign Bond ETF conversion
ratio, investors are advised that the updated final ratio is 0.111111,
whereby 9 AMIRE participatory units are convert into 1 ASBI participatory
unit. The reason for the change is because the underlying S&P index
rebalanced 1 July 2021 changing the pricing of ASBI.
FRACTION RATE
The ratio of entitlement is based on the volume weighted average traded
price per AMIRE share on the JSE Limited over the five trading days up to
and including 27 July 2021, of 205 cents per share.
Shares will be rounded down to the nearest whole number resulting in
allocations of whole securities and a cash payment to the shareholder for
the fraction.
The fraction rate is 185 cents per share and has been calculated at 205
cents per share, the volume weighted average price of a AMIRE shares traded
on the JSE over the past five days traded, discounted by 10% in accordance
with schedule 18 of the JSE listings requirements. The fraction rate amount
will not be subject to dividend withholding tax.
Investors are also informed that 5 000 000 Cloud Atlas S&P African
Sovereign Bond ETF (“ASBI”) participatory units were issued and listed on
the Exchange Traded Funds sector of the main board of the JSE Limited on 28
July 2021, at an issue price of approximately 10 000 cents.
Investors are also reminded that the record date for participatory unit
holders of AMIRE is Friday, 30 July 2021 and CSDP or broker accounts will
be updated with ASBI participatory units on Monday, 02 August 2021.
