MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS

Notifications made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure Rules

1.   The Company was notified on 3 June 2016 by the trustee of the British American
     Tobacco Employee Share Ownership Plan that on 1 June 2016 the following Executive
     Directors and other persons discharging managerial responsibilities (together the
     “Participants”) had purchased ordinary shares of 25p each in British American
     Tobacco p.l.c. (the “Shares”) by way of the Partnership Share Scheme at a price of
     4,200.024 pence per Share.
