Trading update                                                                  
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, a listed company is   
required to publish a trading statement as soon as it becomes aware that the    
financial results for the next period to be reported on will differ by at least 
20% from those of the previous corresponding period.                            
Shareholders were advised on 27 August 2008 that the Company`s earnings per     
share ("EPS") and headline earnings per share ("HEPS") in respect of the six    
month period ending 31 August 2008 ("the interim period"), were expected to be  
between 75% and 85% lower than those reported for the pro forma African Brick   
Group for the previous corresponding period.                                    
Following a more detailed review of the results for the interim period, the     
Company now expects earnings per share and headline earnings per share to be    
140% and 103% respectively, below the comparative figures for the comparative 6 
months ended 31 August 2007.                                                    
The information in this trading update has not been reviewed or reported on by  
the Company`s auditors.                                                         
It is anticipated that the Company`s interim results will be published by or    
about Wednesday 19 November 2008.
