DISCLOSURE OF BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN FAMOUS BRANDS

In compliance with Section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, 2008 (Act 71 of 2008), as amended, and
paragraph 3.83(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are advised that
Famous Brands has received notification in terms of section 122(1) of the Companies Act that the
Coronation Asset Management (Pty) Limited (on behalf of its clients), have disposed of a beneficial
interest in the securities of the Company, such that their entire beneficial interest now amounts to
22.08% of the total number of securities in issue.

As required in terms of section 122(3)(a) of the Companies Act, Famous Brands has filed the required
notice with the Takeover Regulation Panel.

The board of directors of the Company accepts responsibility for the information contained in this
announcement having relied on the information provided to in in the Form TRP 121.1 and certifies that,
to the best of its knowledge and belief, the information contained in this announcement is true and this
announcement does not omit anything that is likely to affect the import of such information.
