NATIONAL TREASURY’S GLOBAL INVESTOR CALL – INAUGURAL DOMESTIC IJARAH
SUKUK CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME
The Republic of South Africa (“RSA”) rated Ba2 (stable) by Moody’s; BB- (stable) by S&P; and BB-
(stable) by Fitch, along with the mandated Joint Lead Managers: Standard Bank and Rand
Merchant Bank / BNP Paribas (Consortium) and the empowerment partners for the respective
banks; Africa Rising Capital and Theza Capital (“Arrangers”), hereby advise of the Global Investor
Call (“GIC”) scheduled for Tuesday, 12 September 2023.
The purpose of the GIC is to provide details on the RSA’s ZAR Domestic Ijarah Sukuk Certificate
Programme (“Sukuk Programme”), to elaborate on the Ijarah Sukuk structure and to outline
salient details on the inaugural Sukuk issuance. The issuer trustee and the issuance plans under
the Sukuk Programme will also be discussed.
The call will be led by the Arrangers and supported by National Treasury.
