TRADING STATEMENT                                                               
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE"), companies are 
required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a    
reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the period 
to be reported on will differ by 20% or more from the financial results for the 
previous corresponding period.                                                  
Shareholders are advised that Ansys is currently in the process of finalising   
its results for the year ended 29 February 2012. It is anticipated, with a      
reasonable degree of certainty, that Ansys will reflect:                        


    *    headline earnings per share of between 4.7 cents and 5.7 cents; and    
    *    earnings per share of between 4.7 cents and 5.7 cents per share        
for the year ended 29 February 2012.                                            
Ansys incurred a basic loss per share of 9.22 cents per share and a headline    
loss per share of 3.86 cents per share for the year ended 28 February 2011.     
The financial information on which this trading update is based has not been    
reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors. The company`s results for the
year ended 29 February 2012 are expected to be released on SENS by mid-May 2012.
