REMOVAL OF LISTING
Shareholders are referred to the:
• last quarterly update, dated 17 May 2021; and
• the SENS announcement, dated 30 June 2016, relating to the suspension of the Company’s shares on 1 July 2016
on the JSE Limited (“JSE”).
Pursuant to paragraphs 1.12 and 1.13 of the JSE Listings Requirements (the “Requirements”), the JSE may, subject to the
removal provisions of the Financial Markets Act No. 19 of 2012 (the “FMA”) and if one of the following applies:
• if it will further one or more of the objects contained in Section 2 of the FMA, which may also include if it is in
the public interest to do so; or
• if the issuer has failed to comply with the Listings Requirements and it is in the public interest to do so,
remove from the list any securities previously included therein.
Shareholders were advised that the Company had, through its sponsor, initiated discussions with the JSE to explore
avenues for a possible voluntary delisting. These discussions have now been concluded and the JSE has, after due and
careful consideration and subject to the provisions of FMA and the Requirements, decided to remove the Company’s
listing from the JSE.
The following dates will apply to the removal of Freedom’s listing on the JSE:
Event 2021
Publication of declaration data Friday, 9 July
Last day to trade Tuesday, 27 July
Record date Friday, 30 July
If the company remains as an unlisted entity, brokers must close their positions and reopen Monday, 2 August
them in unlisted Form
Listing terminated and Freedom shares removed from the JSE List Tuesday, 3 August
