MANAGEMENT Fund Manager's Comment
Wayne McCurrie, BCompt; CA (SA)
Wayne joined the RMB Asset Management investment team as an investment professional from 1 March 2008. He started his career in the financial industry in 1988, when he joined Lifegro Limited as a management accountant. Lifegro was taken over by the Momentum Group in 1989 where Wayne stayed until being incorporated into RMB Asset Management in 1994. He left RMB Asset Management for Sage in 2002 and joined the FirstRand Group again in 2004 as Managing Director of Momentum International Multi-Managers. Wayne is currently responsible for managing the RMB Unit Trusts Balanced Funds.
Norman Mackechnie, BSc (Eng), MSc (Eng), DIC, MBA, CFA
Norman started his career in investments in 1988 and has worked as an investment analyst and portfolio manager in asset management divisions. He has been actively involved in setting up investment processes and held the position of Chief Investment Officer in a previous company. Norman joined RMB Asset Management in 2000.
FUND OBJECTIVES AND FOCUS

The Momentum Value Fund's objective is to maximise returns over the FTSE/JSE SWIX Index over time. The fund is not benchmark cognisant and can differ substantially from other equity funds and market indices given its contrarian approach and its focus on absolute value. The fund offers investors the potential for long term capital growth.
