61.4% INCREASE IN MINEABLE IN SITU COAL IN MEASURED CATEGORY AT DELMAS          
PROJECT                                                                         
In an update to the March 2008 SAMREC-compliant Coal Resource statement         
contained within its Pre-Listing Statement issued on 15 April 2008, Keaton      
Energy has announced a 61.4% increase in mineable in situ coal in the           
measured category - from 60.1 million tonnes to 97 million tonnes - at its      
Delmas Project in South Africa`s Mpumalanga Province. The update follows the    
drilling of a further 33 boreholes on the Delmas Project for mine planning      
purposes and to improve the Company`s confidence in the project`s Coal          
Resource estimate.                                                              
The Delmas Project area`s total mineable in situ coal resource in the           
indicated and measured categories has increased by 4% from 171.5 million to     
178.4 million tonnes.                                                           
Mineable in situ coal in the indicated category at the Delmas Project now       
totals 81.4 million tonnes, down from 111.1 million tonnes.  The estimated      
total mineable in situ Coal Resource classified as bituminous coal has          
increased from 122.6 million tonnes to 132 million tonnes, while the            
estimated total mineable in situ Coal Resource classified as pseudo-            
anthracite (lean-, or de-volatilised coal) has decreased from 45.3 million      
tonnes to 41.6 million tonnes. The No. 5 Seam Coal Resource has increased       
from 3.6 million tonnes to 4.8 million tonnes and the No. 4 Seam Coal           
Resource from 84.5 million tonnes to 90.6 million tonnes, while the No. 2       
Seam Coal Resource has decreased from 83.4 million tonnes to 83 million         
tonnes.                                                                         
The March 2008 Coal Resource statement covered the Sterkfontein and Delmas      
Project areas.  The Sterkfontein Project Coal Resource has not been updated     
subsequently. The detailed May 2008 and March 2008 Coal Resource statements     
are both available on the Company`s website.                                    
Publication of the audited condensed annual results for the 13-month period     
ended 31 March 2008                                                             
Keaton Energy`s audited condensed annual results have been published on SENS    
and are available on the Company`s website.  The Company anticipates that its   
2008 Annual Report will be dispatched to shareholders on or about 17 June       
2008.
