APPOINTMENT OF INTERIM CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (“CEO”)

Further to the announcement released on the Stock Exchange News Service of the JSE Limited (“JSE”)
on 13 February 2018 following Mr Francois Kuttel’s resignation as CEO to Oceana, shareholders are
advised that Mr Imraan Soomra has been appointed as interim CEO until such time as a suitable
replacement for the CEO role, has been identified.

While Mr Rodney Nicol had originally indicated his availability to act as interim CEO as from 1 March
2018, he has since informed the Company he is no longer able to do so.

The JSE has granted Oceana dispensation for Mr Soomra to assume the joint role of interim CEO and
Chief Financial Officer.
